#### Essential Job Functions Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that is has been performed properly.
Develop schedules of in-bound/out-bound carriers and supporting raw material/finished good product flow.
Supervise receiving team and ensure goods are being received according to Receiving SOP.
Quote small parcel, LTL, and TL shipments and route freight according to customer specifications.
Examine freight to determine loading sequences.
Ensure specifications of materials loaded or unloaded meet order and specification requirements.
Monitor carrier on time performance metrics and performance to standard.
Inspect equipment for wear and for conformance to OSHA standards.
Manage raw material and finished good cycle count schedules and report variances.
Inventory supplies and purchase additional items as needed.
Facilitate a 5S environment and organizational philosophy.
Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.
Other responsibilities as directed by senior leadership team.
Core Knowledge and Experience Requirements Administration and Management - Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, situational leadership, and coordination of people and resources.
Customer and Personal Service -- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Transportation -- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
Production and Processing - Raw materials, production processes, quality systems, cost management systems, and techniques for safe and efficient manufacture of goods.
Education and Training - Principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
