Position Summary:
This position is an integral leader within the UniFirst business unit. Lead a team of over 40 people to help the business unit achieve its financial goals. Work closely with the General Manager on business planning, process improvements, safety initiatives, and employee relations improvements and issues. Foster a culture of collaboration and quality by communicating effectively. You achieve results by getting the best out of your greatest asset, your people.

Has excellent communication skills
Understands problem solving through root cause analysis
Employs a supportive, collaborative management style
3-5 years in a managerial role required Is a creative, "big picture" thinker who is not afraid of change
Is innovative
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
A Plant Manager Trainee should be resilient, hardworking, goal oriented, honest, loyal, a self-starter, responsible, adaptable, possess a "can-do" attitude, and be a true problem solver!
BA/BS required, business-related preferred.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer programs.
Candidates must be willing to travel.
Candidates must also be willing to relocate.
Proven experience with writing procedures and documentation.
Proven experience with training.
Strong business sense.
Proven communication and organizational skills.

Plant Manager Trainee Position
UniFirst is currently recruiting for a Plant Manager Trainee. In this position, the right candidate will learn virtually every facet of our business, our operations, and our Textile Services Industry.
The training for this Plant Manager position will take place at the local UniFirst production facility, however, the Plant Management opening will not be at this local production facility. Once the training is completed you will be required to move to attain the Plant Manager level position. Once trained locally, the Plant Manager in training must be willing to accept a position in one of our 220 locations across the nation. UniFirst offers full relocation packages to our managers taking that next level Plant Management role once training is completed.
This Plant Manager Trainee position will start out $62,000. Once training is complete and the trainee moves to a new location, the expected salary range will be in the mid-$60's or more based on the location you will be going to manage. This is a rapid training program and time frame for the training program is estimated at 5 months or less at the local production facility before moving to the next step as Plant Manager of your own facility. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
